Extractions Can Be Painless

If tooth extraction in Aurora is absolutely necessary, then visit Retro Dental Group for the best quality care and dental services.

Tooth extraction is defined as a complete removal of a tooth from its socket in the bone. While we do everything we can to save your tooth, there are some reasons for tooth removal. Some are extracted, because of advanced decay, severe periodontal disease, or the tooth has broken in such a way it cannot be repaired. Teeth may be removed in preparation for orthodontics or as poorly positioned teeth (impacted). Our number one priority is to help you have optimal oral health and have the best experience we can provide while you are in our office. We will give you the utmost care and, if needed, we have several sedation opportunities. Don’t procrastinate until it is an emergency, if you have dental problems; call us now to get the best results.

"Post Op Care"

"Post Op Care"

No fear, tooth extractions in Aurora are painless at Retro Dental Group. Whether nerve pain or abscess is the reason, we have the solution for you

"At the removal of your tooth, I will be there to give you detailed guidelines on your post op care. After the extraction, it is very important that a blood clot forms to stop the bleeding and begin your healing process. Our first suggestion is to bite on a gauze pad for 1 hour after surgery and, if it continues to bleed, change the gauze pad and bite for another 30 minutes. This will need to be repeated until the blood clot forms. When the blood clot forms, it can be disturbed or dislodged by rinsing vigorously, sucking on straws, smoking, drinking alcohol or brushing your teeth next to the affected area. So, we ask you refrain from these activities for 72 hours after the procedure. If you experience pain or swelling, we suggest you apply ice bags to the side of your face for the first 12 to 24 hours (20 minutes on and 10 minutes off). You may use pain medications as directed. Above all, if you experience extreme or additional symptoms, call us directly."
